Chuvylko, Boris Ivanovich

Boris Ivanovich Chuvylko was born on November 8, 1938 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Along with Bobrov, Kuzmin, Nimets, Simakov, and Tverdokhlebov, Chuvylko was part of a cohort of several “monumentalists” who graduated from the Leningrad Vera Mukhina Higher School of Art and Design in 1967 and moved to Alma-Ata to set up a new monumental art studio.

In addition to his work in Almaty, Chuvylko has major works in Karatau and Buguruslan.
