Shteiman, Aleksei GeorgiyevichAleksei Georgiyevich Shteiman was born on November 8, 1924. Shteiman would lead several brigades as a member of the Moscow Combine for Decorative and Applied Arts. From 1954-1957, he worked often with Ivan Vlaschik, including on the Mamina-Sibiryak Drama Theater in Nizhny Tagil.
In 1958, Shteiman led a team including Vlaschik, Sergei Ter-Grigoryan and an unknown artist named Kuznetsov, painting the ceiling mural, or plafond, in the large amphitheatre at the Kazakh Academy of Science. The same year, he was a member of the committee that approved the plafond at the Abai Theater According to one source, he also contributed monumental art to buildings in the cities of Kherson, Novocherkassk, Moscow, Samara, Zelenograd, Tashkent and Stavropol, in addition to works in Sofia, Bulgaria and Kathmandu, Nepal (at Soviet embassies, perhaps), |
